Advised the bank on its $60 million direct equity investment portfolio and led the credit analysis team for new bond purchases for a $2 billion buy-to-hold fixed income portfolio in the largest bank in Kuwait.

Oversaw a regional equity portfolio of eight companies in telecom, investments and real estate sectors. Identified strategic and/or high yielding investments and achieved portfolio yield of approximately 10%. Transactions of note include: Leading internet service provider Qualitynet and a major investment holding company in Lebanon, Intra Investments (consolidated transaction size $40 million).

Spearheaded fixed income credit team (zero delinquencies and portfolio doubled in size within a single year).

Actively participated in preparation of credit appraisal policy for the department. Transactions of note: sovereign (Qatari & UAE) and corporate bonds within emerging markets. Noor Financial Investment Company Kuwait City, Kuwait Associate Director, Investment Banking 2005 – 2011 Consultant to group companies and led a three member team of analysts to achieve financial close for equity investments worth $300 million across geographies in financial services, energy, utilities and telecom space.

Played an integral role in the drafting and finalization of investment policy and executed direct equity investment transactions for proprietary book and clients (company achieved growth in assets from $500 million to $1 billion within two years).

Transactions of note: (a) undertook valuations, legal coordination and negotiations for purchase of majority stake in Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic Bank and achieved IRR of 15% (transaction size $80 million); (b) advised parent company in achieving 20% IRR on Alltel investment in USA (investment $100 million); Investment & Development Office, Government of Ras Al Khaimah Ras Al Khaimah, UAE Assistant Vice President 2004 – 2005
