Sr. App. Developer, Tata Consulting Inc., New Jersey 2012- 2014

-Hired as a Sr. Developer to work at their client (CVS) site in Richardson on the RxClaim System. The first 10 weeks I was placed on the Adjustments of the RxClaim and was later transferred out to the Triage team to work on defects for both Adjustments and Adjudication systems using SYNON to analyze code (RPG) issues. Continue to work in this capacity and also supported the day-to-day operations for the EGWP/PDP system. Recently moved into the Reverse & Resubmit (R & R) Ajustment team to support the daily production issues.

Contractor (Sr. App. Deveoloper), Anji Technologies, Plano, TX 2010- 2011

-Contracted to work primarily on System Conversion for Frontier Communications who is one of the largest independent providers of telecommunications services for both Residential and Business customers. My role was to assist the team in setting up databases on the AS400 to receive data from the various platforms such as IBM Mainframe (IMS & DB2 files, Informix, Directory information, etc.). This data was then processed by the Data Mappers and transformed by the Informatica team, and finally used in the nightly conversion process.

-Initially responsible for writing RPG/ILE & CLLE programs to created DDS for IMS and DB2 files from text documents in order to expedite the file creation process.

-Wrote RPG/ILE, SQL programs to process the Super media directory creating several type of listings such as Caption, Straight Line, BTN’s etc.) and for Service Orders.

-Maintained Batch & Online programs on the development system for thier DPI Applications. Modified existing programs to improve performance in order to expedite the conversion process. Continue to provide day-to-day support on daily tickets, etc.

Sr. Integration Anayst, Dell PerotSystems Corp. Plano, Texas 2009 – 2010

- Maintain and support the Patient Account System (PBAR) that is currently running on

numerous hubs that support Tenet Health Care Systems. The applications are on

the AS/400 iSeries written in RPG IV and RPG/ILE.

- Work with on-shore and off-shore teams providing on-call duties and meeting all

User/Management requests.

- Liaise between Client Services and the User community in addressing everyday issues.

Application Development Specialist, PerotSystems Corp. Plano, Texas 2005 – 2009

- Helped maintain the Daily Process for Data Access to meet user/management requests as required, supporting the nightly production activities and adding functionalities where necessary.

- Developed a backup/recovery system that allows us to retain thirty-seven months of data for the Month-End Snap (MESNAP) file at the facility level and conserving approximately 2G of DASD on the production system.

- Developed an annual Purge/Backup/Recovery System that impacted all of the files used on a daily basis in order to maintain the DASD level down so that new development can be done. This process used date criteria and other logic to determine the retention period when deleting data form the files.

- Continue to work with the team on every-day issues and respond to production tickets on a timely manner. All projects were developed using RPG IV and RPG/ILE (Free format) codes.

Sr. System Developer, McLane Company Inc. Carrollton, Texas 2001 – 2005

- Modified the Data Store (RODS) Reporting tool to process information using their local servers instead of accessing a centralized database located at the corporate center. In addition, I redesigned the tool with added/revised options to allow the users to have greater flexibility in reporting requirements for both transportation and warehouses. These changes significantly improved the processing time and reduced cost throughout the organization (18 centers across the U.S.).

- Revised McLane Foodservice Planning system to accommodate new accounts and comments information as per user requirements. This tool is a combination of a front-end Excel-based, multidimensional back-end Essbase and a relational database back-end technologies. These changes greatly assisted the Financial Planners to keep track of changes made to budget numbers, etc. annually.

- Developed a process to receive employees’ information from Peoplesoft and Winstar (Automatic Clocking System) and transform the data to the Hyperion Essbase multidimensional database environment (OLAP) for planning, analysis, and management reporting. This information was vital in helping the centers to manage Key Performance Indicators (cases per hour). The front end was developed using AS/400 RPG IV codes.

- Supported multiple clients, which involved day-to-day phone support, business requirements gathering, change management, implementation and coordination of special projects.

Contractor, Bell Helicopter Textron, Hurst, Texas 2000 – 2001

- Assisted in developing and deploying the Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) process for the Enterprise-wide Data Warehouse on the Automated Time And Labor System known as the ATLAS project using Decision Base mapping tool (Informatica equivalence). Wrote specialized Reusable Transformation to handle unique processing requirements specific to Bell and applying all of the associated business rules to accomplish the task. This effort expedited the development process and resulted in a successful implementation.

- Designed, developed, tested and implemented applications to process records for Initial Load and Change Propagation for the Enterprise Database. These applications kept the database updated and help maintained data integrity at all times.

- Developed, executed Test Plans and assisted in the scheduling of jobs using the TIVOLI scheduler. Wrote cobol programs on the IBM 390 mainframe to verify and validate Source and Target data created thereby automating the validation process.

Contractor, Ericsson Inc., Richardson, Texas 1998 –2000

- Contracted primarily to assist in the closing down process of the AS/400 system since the company was transitioning into a new SAP environment. Responsibilities included but not limited to maintaining applications (RPG IV/ILE) that were still being run on the AS/400 as well as providing support to the end users where necessary, extensive use of AS/400 SQL. These services helped the migration process tremendously and provided the company with a smooth and seamless transition.

- Worked on the development of the Data Warehousing application using data originated from the legacy system and tools such as: Client Access (AS/400), Decision Base Mapper, Forest & Trees (Platinum), Oracle Enterprise Manager and Segate Crystal Info.

- Performed Data Modeling and Extract, Transformation and Load functions to meet the business requirements. In addition, managed the task of Verification and Validation of both source and target data utilizing Oracle PL/SQL, AS/400 SQL, and Forest & Trees

Contractor, FirstPlus Financial Inc., Dallas, Texas 1998

- Contracted through EDS to work as a Y2K consultant on the Year 2000 Verification and Validation project employing EDS’s Y2K methodology. The Telemarketing Loan Origination application was my first business critical application and in this capacity, my principle role includes: Evaluating the process and interfaces to determine date usage; working closely with the client’s Subject Matter Experts to ensure the test covers a reasonable percentage of the application when identifying the business cases; Designing of Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Scripts for current and future dates.

- Installed an automated Testing Tool known as File-AID/CS and provided training and support to the Test Executioners. Using this tool, the company was able to facilitate and conduct test at a remarkable rate with a high degree of success.

- Provided assistance and training to other consultant as required on various applications. This effort helped to bring up-to-speed new candidates that were added to the team.

Contractor, Ericsson Inc., Richardson, Texas 1995 – 1998

- Contracted as a Programmer/Analyst to assist in the development of an interface that process data between the System Material And Resource Tracking (SMART) running on the AS/400 and the Material System/Order Processing (MAS/OPP) located on the Vax system. This interface was required in order to maintain inventory level for all of the associated warehouses on both platforms with the ability to automatically process the following types of orders: Regular Customer Orders, Manufacturing/Kitting Orders, Return Material Authorization and Purchase Orders.

- Designed, developed and tested programs to process data that was sent to and received from both systems as well as setting up the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) process and Robot jobs to process the information automatically. Remained as the primary support person for the interface during the rest of my time at the company saving operational cost.

- Participated in other projects developing interface to other applications such as the Accounts Payable/Receivable and Taxing systems.

- Collaborated with programming staff to convert a Switch Dimensioning System to General Dimensioning in order to take advantage of the newer technology and using best practices.

- Designed, developed and tested programs to generate various daily and weekly reporting activities for the Global Max System. These reports were user driven and ran in a controlled environment listing information particular to that user and department for security reasons.

- Participated with the Finance team to expedite program development for the Day-End processing, Accounts Payable Disbursement Journal to reconcile disbursements, Void Checks, Accounts Payable Check inquiry programs, Cash Requirement reports and Account Payable Voucher programs.
