Knowledge in both Six Sigma applications (MAIC and Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)) and Lean.
Main activities are aligned with DFSS, MAIC Six Sigma and Lean projects. I have lead and coached teams in the areas of:
New Business Development –Determined the Critical Customer Requirements to be delivered so that we would become a leader in the industry
Strategy Development – Worked with Global business units and top leadership in the development of their strategic plans for the immediate and long term direction.
Manufacturing Improvement – Trained and coached BB’s on their projects to eliminate defects and make breakthroughs in manufacturing. These projects have lead to the development of new improved product that met and exceed customer needs at lower cost.
New Manufacturing Facility – Coach capital project teams on the most efficient and effect way of building a new plants. These efforts addressed the operating processes, operation costs, risk management and capital cost reduction.
New Supply Chain Work Processes – Coached teams in determining the best way to supply the raw material and the logistics to deliver the raw material on time and to specifications.
Leadership and training of Black Belts and Business Leaders – I trained at The Dow Chemical Company Six Sigma institute for MAIC Black Belts. I’m also one of 5 certified DFSS MBB’s that coaches and mentors MBB’s in training, and certifies MAIC BB’s on the effective application of DFSS tools. I also train Six Sigma Champions on the methodology and how to effectively identify key projects and leverage the tools throughout everything that they do on a daily basis.
Lean – Was a key driver behind bring Lean into the company. Developed the training programs and a key subject matter expert in Lean within the company.
Risk Management and Mitigation – Coached a Mega project ($20B +) team in the Middle East on Risk identification and Mitigation plans. Identification of the potential risks, categorizing them and determining the most critical ones to work on mitigation so there is not a negative impact to the project schedule and cost.

Project Manager for the development of the Chemical Industry Data Exchange (CIDX) Chem eStandards. This was a multi company project that consisted for BASF, DuPont, and Dow for the first phase and then expanded to include multiple major chemical, marketplace, financial, and development companies for the second phase.
Received the Global Award of Excellence, and recognized by Eye for Chem Magazine as the third most significant event for the Chemical Industry in that year.
PROJECT ENGINEER (ENGINEERING MANAGER) 07/97 – 02/00
Served as a Project Engineer/Engineering Manager on several key projects which include power distributions systems, chemical plants, and licensing technology. In this role the delivery of engineering and design technology was critical to the success of projects. Many of these project included operations in other countries such as the Europe, Pacific, and Latin America.
