Systems Administrator, Launch Display System Operator, LDS Software Testing and Configuration Editor, Telemetry System Operator

System Administrator: Lead System Administrator in charge of over 20 desktop systems, servers and networked printers on the L-3 corporate network. Upgraded or replaced all desktop systems to Windows 7. Created, modified and deleted users and systems using Active Directory. One of four Systems Administrators that migrated all systems servers and network printers from the Salt Lake City Domain to the Reston Domain at both CCAFS and the L-3 Office in Cape Canaveral. In charge of all server and desktop backups using BackupExe 12.0 software. Proficient with all Microsoft Office Products. Configured and maintained Netgear Switches and Firewalls at multiple facilities on CCAFS. Tier II Helpdesk support member for the Central Florida Area.

Unix Administrator: Senior System Administrator for telemetry servers running Solaris 10. These servers were used for telemetry collection and dissemination to multiple government and contractor customers. Installed, configured and tested new telemetry databases as required for every new Launch.

Cape Testbed Administrator: Lead System Administrator in charge of both hardware and software for the Launch Display System Testbed. This system simulated multiple Launch Facilities at CCAFS and VAFB.

Launch Display System: LDS is Situational Awareness Tool used by Launch Management, Approved Spacecraft and Range Support Personnel. I was the LDS Mission Lead for various NRO and 5th SLS EELV Launches. Duties included: coordinating and producing documentation, implementing requirements set forth by the customer, configuring software based on those requirements and presenting displays to the launch community in various Launch Control Centers during rehearsals and launches. Also responsible for most systems administration duties on this system to included switch and router configurations and implementing software and security updates.

Launch Display System Software Testing: One of four personnel responsible for the setup, configuration and testing of the Launch Display System for multiple East Coast and West Coast Atlas V and Delta IV Launches. This software is written in Visual C++ and Java. This included writing SCR’s, test plans to support Beta, Functional and Regression testing before software was declared operational for Launch Support.

PVCS Version Manager Administrator: In charge of the East Coast Web based version of Serena’s PVCS version control software used for the Launch Display System Software.

Telemetry System Operator: Cape 550 Telemetry System Operator – This system received telemetry data from various assets and provided this data to the LDS system and approved clients. This required coordination with the Eastern Range (ER), off-site support locations, and user contractors. Duties for this included performing all local system administration duties on the Unix based system, coordinating dataflow tests, and supporting actual launches. This system was recently replaced by a Windows based system called the Telemetry System Test Tool (TSTT) and all duties were that same as the previous system it replaced with the addition of the Windows based system administration duties.

Computer Support Specialist for a Windows NT based network that replaced the UNIX based system serving over 100 users in a classified environment. Maintained backup tapes for all local servers using Legato Networker 5.1. Maintained local e-mail accounts using Microsoft Exchange. Add, modify and delete user accounts, e-mail groups, and NT groups. One of four local POC’s for all network application questions and problems. Conducted new user introductions and training. Provide technical and user support for both video and audio teleconferencing equipment.
