Petroleum Engineer
Hardworking and creative engineer with experience across many disciplines, including: completions, production, drilling, facilities, and permitting. Collaborative problem solver who uses design programs, modeling, and project management to turnaround-troubled operations.
Passionate about designing and implementing frac procedures to improve the overall EOR of the well, but willing and enthusiastic to take on new roles as an engineer in the oil and gas industry.
Strengths include:
- Completion design - Sucker Rod Pump Design
- Pump & Equipment design - Economic evaluation
Professional Experience
Halliburton Energy Services, Zanesville, OH (Marcellus & Utica Shale) 2015
Associate Technical Professional, Production Enhancement
Ensured quality and accuracy of downhole treatments to satisfy the customer’s needs while assisting in pre-planning, job execution, and post job analysis. Interpreted real-time wellsite data to ensure the proficiency of the pump down stage and performed blender calculations to maintain precise and efficient downhole slurry.
Increased the efficiency of pumps by performing general maintenance, which ensured a better pump down rate
Supported operators with field operations saving time and operator’s money
Endurances Resources, LLC, Artesia, NM (Permian Basin) 2014-2015
Completions Engineer Intern
Researched and designed frac procedures for the Avalon Shale (Upper Bone Spring) based on 60+ completions. Assisted completions engineer on two 24-hour horizontal, 13–stage gel fracs in 2nd Bone Spring formation. Observed triple combo logging suite, FMI log, and RSWC in new drill wells. Used logs and core data via Frac Pro to diagnose various landing points & frac design considerations in two undeveloped horizontal pay zones. Oversaw 24 hour coil tubing drill out operations (plugs, mills, motors, flow back).
Designed and presented Avalon Shale frac procedure to company’s investors, which was approved and will be, implemented on 50 Avalon wells in the area
Analyzed PNP vs. NCS frac sleeves (coil tubing frac) on Frac Pro increasing Endurance’s EOR
Managed wire line operations during plug and perforating stage work, saving Endurance $50,000
Production Engineer Intern
Created 20 new rod string designs on vertical and deviated wells using RODSTAR. Examined SWDs, ESPs, Sucker Rod pumps and Gas Lift systems. Attended Lufkin’s Gas Lift training class in Odessa, TX.
Reduced operational costs by working on pumper’s leases - gauging tanks, thiefing tanks, changing packing, performing maintenance on back pressure valves and performing calculations
Took part in ESP installations (pump install, well control, etc.)
Eagle Associates, Coxsackie, NY 2011-2013
Operator
Managed numerous contracts with on the job problem solving that always ended in customer satisfaction. Singly began and completed everyday jobs. Operated hydraulic and electric drills, wall saws, slab saw, and concrete cutting chain saw.
Efficiently managed job at University at Albany, drilling over 600 holes in their 22-story tower building, saving $25,000
Designed cooling system for a hydraulic generator, which ensures the safety of the operator
