Project: Mobile Message Gateway Service:

Gateway application which sends SMS/WAP message to Verizon customers regarding their threshold limit, data usage, any promotions etc.

Responsibilities

Designed, developed and tested client specific enhancements of MMG Gateway application using JMS, core java, spring and JDBC.

Developed the api for clients to send sms messages to the devices using core java.

Involved in the design and development of a spring based application with quartz tasks to perform which checks for Acknowledgements from the SMPP Gateway.

Redisigned the MMG Gateway Application using Core java, multithreading like Executors, using In memoryQueue.

Worked on MMG Tracking applications a restful service to provide ack and dr for particular transactions and destination based service.

Worked on Real-time Data alerts application that sends over SMS messages through this Gateway service application .

Coded Python based scripts/ hourly reports that run in production environment for the reports for Gateway service application.

Project: International Rates Management

Stormtrack is an international rates management system. Various Table Maintenance modules are moved from Client/Server to Stormtrack TM. Stormtrack TM system will be used for table maintenance and report viewing.

Worked as a senior java developer maintaining international rates management applications in Java based and Client Server technologies.

Developed the screens using xml and XSLs using the new UI builder tool.

Designed and developed Soap based web services using Apache Axis 1.4 which would consume rates.

Worked on Stored procedures with self joins, correlated sub queries. Tuned and optimized queries by altering database design, analyzing different query options and in designing strategies.

Used the SQL Server Profiler tool to monitor the performance of Sql server – particularly to analyze the performance of the stored procedures.
