Senior Operation Clerk-Cable Hazard Center (ANS)

Responsibilities:

The overall Cable Hazard Center Position involves multiple tasks, which support

the core job functions of receiving, screen, and dispatching plant protection

tickets to the On Site Work Force (OSWG). These multiple tasks include, but are

not limited to: Analysis or detect tickets, implementation of corrective action,

and communication of root cause to field technicians. Interpretation of

integrity reports detailing the accuracy and completeness of plant protection

tickets from over 100 separate One Call Centers. The CHC job is performed on a

24x7 basis with direct supervision Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. The 24 hour demands of

protecting At&T's Fiber Optic Network from various hazardous situations,

requires all CHC clerks to possess of reference data including graphic

illustrations of cable placement, online support systems (PPS and Chaps), local

call out and escalation procedures, and information provided by the One Call and

or contractor(often times this information is incomplete or incorrect). Based on

the current demands of the Cable Hazard Center, the CHC change constantly

throughout a 24 hour period. The position requires a high level of problem

solving and autonomy; decisions are constantly made by these that critical

evaluations of risk to AT&T s Cable Network.

Skills Required

Performed all callout for the National Disaster Recovery Implementation

Team(DRIT). Maintain National OSP Technician status board. Receive and properly

administer all calls received on National 800 number, which is posted on all

cable Right of Way signs throughout the United States. This requires outstanding

communications skills and proper telephone etiquette associated with public

contact. Coordination of call outs for the National Cable Management Center

during cable. Cuts and hazardous conditions. Ensure proper processing of tickets

by monitoring PPS Error logs. Monitor and optimize auto-fax drive. Initiate

callbacks to contractors on Not involved (NIV) tickets, Act as liaison between

OSWF technicians, contractors and One Call Center.
