A plastic injection molding facility that manufactured and distributed plastic component parts for the automotive industry. A small manufacturing company with 10 presses, I oversaw and confronted in-process quality issues for the first shift. I collected samples from the operating presses, inspect and test parts for conformity to print and customer specifications. I use the usual measuring devices and operated the pre-programmed PC-DMIS program on a Brown & Sharpe Microxcel PFX 454 System (CMM) and a Micro-Vu Video measuring aide and monitor system. After my inspections I documented my findings and tabulated them through the day.
