OBJECTIVE

R&D Scientist position utilizing extensive experience in Physics, Engineering, Medical Imaging, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Signal Processing, Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience and Scientific Programming.

SUMMARY

• Extensive experience in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience and Scientific Programming

• Excellent knowledge of scientific methodologies, data acquisition and analysis tools

• Software: Matlab (expert), C, Unix, Freesurfer, AFNI, FSL, SPM, MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop.

• Critical thinker, results oriented with excellent research abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent customer service skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual in English and Russian.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer (Legal Permanent Resident) PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2013-2014 Computational Neuroscience Analyst, NeuroVigil, Inc, San Diego, CA

• Developed software applications for analysis and interpretation of human EEG data at high spectral and temporal resolution in clinical and research trials. Assisted in collection, secure delivery and storage of sensitive data. Managed satellite office in Mountain View, CA. Supervised work of 3 interns. 2010-2013 Post-Doctoral Research Associate, Center for Complex Systems & Brain Sciences Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.

• As part of a multi-disciplinary team of experts investigating brain functions within a complex systems approach, as a post-doctoral fellow, I created a new computational framework for source localization from scalp potentials, CT and MRI. This method uses a combination of beamforming and second order spatial derivatives to address the highly underdetermined inverse problem. 2002-2010 Teaching Assistant, Department of Physics, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.

• Responsibilities included teaching Physics Courses and Labs, tutoring and grading. Achieved high level of student evaluation for teaching excellence. Provided technical support to the department of Physics.

1997-2002 Research Assistant, Machine Dynamics and Durability Department South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk, Russia.

• Designed, manufactured and successfully tested a prototype of the device for real-time control of the quartz crystals growth process (patent obtained in 2003). EDUCATION
