Project: National Treasury Museum and administrative complex of Central Bank of Iran, an international construction project (structure was designed by a French Consultant: Setec TPI) with total original designed area of 230,000 m ( decreased to 200,000 sqm due to municipal zoning issue) including a 47 storeys main tower with 100,000 m area (38 floor main office building was constructed pursuant to scope of work deletion)

Participated in a large design-built project.

Led site crews and subcontractors according to priority and sequence of construction procedures.

Overseen concrete production and testing on site. Due to high daily volume of concrete pouring (more than 180 m3/day), company had set up and installed a medium size batching plant on site. Mixture design, testing and quality control were conducted by our company and assigned consultant.

Overseen sub-performance manufacturing, including heavy structural steel fabrication, formworks….etc.

Allocated work to construction teams in order to ensure delivery of design, planning and construction activities to quality, time, and budget.

Established and overseen a structural team, resident on site to resolve structural issues, propose structural alternative designs and work efficiently with consultants. Since structural design had been conducted and revised by Setec TPI (France and Iran Office) and also due to consideration and inclusion of blast resistance design

(requested by owner) for National Museum Building, some discrepancies were concluded and discovered which should be reported to be addressed by prime consultant. Therefore, having a structural team on site was a tremendous practice to provide an accurate and effective technical communication and problem solving.

Worked closely with the project team members by becoming part of the integrated team of the owner, the architect and the consulting engineers.

Managed project planning, construction scheduling and progress control team using Primavera software. It is noteworthy critical path defining, machinery planning and operation (including batching plant for concrete production and travelling, tower cranes in such a large scale project is very complicated as scheduling and progress control were monitored, controlled and updated by a system engineering team to ensure quality, time and budget.

Overseen concrete production process and quality control to work smoothly with on site concrete lab.

Supervised surveying and construction works including excavation and shoring, formwork, reinforcement and concrete placement for mat foundation, retaining walls, columns, beams, slabs and shear walls.

Projects:

1)-Setareh (8050 m , 18 storey residential high rise building with MRF steel structure, 720 tons) 2)- Central Bank of Iran: 23 storey Office building, glazed cladding in four side. 68000 sqm construction area with 98m height from foundation level. Mat foundation in various depths from 1 to 2m, combined steel and concrete structure including non sway steel frames laterally supported with 4 reinforced concrete cores carrying lateral loads.

Revised structural dynamic analysis and design in compliance with new architectural design change orders. Building cladding from 5th to 15th floor above ground was changed to sand blasted finished prefabricated concrete walls (60-80mm thickness). Consequently, structural design was reviewed to evaluate and ensure structural capacity in terms of additional exterior walls loaded on spandrel cantilevered beams. ( re Project#1 Setareh).

Developed and performed reinforced concrete bracket (corbels) design to provide proper connections between concrete claddings and spandrel plate girders. (re P#1 Setareh)

Led and supervised field engineers, technicians and technologists through different construction phases including rough works (heavy steel structure with rigid and moment resisting frames in two way with plate boxed column, plate girders and composite slabs….), architectural detailing and final finishing, mechanical and electrical systems installation to ensure compliance with specifications and project completion timetables.

Managed financial schedule and budgeting. Reduced construction material and labour costs 9.8% without compromising in quality by an accurate cost analysis and scheduling, effective negotiation and proper trade selection, eliminating secondary excessive technical or nontechnical costs imposed to the construction process.
