Responsible for all Accounting/Financial/Human Resources functions and some Operations functions of this 30 year old mid-market Manufacturer and Distributor of reverse osmosis water treatment systems and components.

Provided the infrastructure guidance to double company’s business over 10 years.

Initiated inventory controls to eliminate slow moving inventory, promote high sales items and keep levels down to improve carrying costs.

Initiated product margin analysis to eliminate low margin/low volume items from product line.

Set up automated company product pricing for OEM and END users through the ERP system

Project Manager - January, 1996 to November, 1998

Responsible for the Electronics industry segment’s projects for this manufacturer of high technology precision Swiss machinery located in North County San Diego. Oversaw $15,000 to $900,000 projects from customer purchase order through the delivery of each machine. Projects ranged in length from two weeks to six month life cycles including engineering release, material procurement and Quality Assurance testing and shipping.

Within first year, brought all machine orders within budget while consistently maintaining favorable shipping delivery schedule to customer’s request.

Contributed to the business segment’s overall profit budget and delivery schedules for 1996 and first quarter 1997.

Controller January, 1989 to January, 1996

Helped establish the company’s first Division outside of Europe. Set corporate policies and procedures. Initiated a Corporate wide Accounting/Manufacturing System capable of maintaining manufacturing bills of material, job shop costing and inventory control including systems selection and implementation. Manufacturing needs included purchased and manufactured parts requisition planning, detailed job costing and profit tracking and necessary management reporting for Job progress monitoring. Systems design included remote site PC networking and the integration of multiple corporate entities and locations. Responsible for the accounting, reporting and analysis, planning and budgeting, purchasing, office services and project administration functions for the Midwest Region of this international ocean freight carrier. Specific activities included administration and control of billing, credit and collections, accounts payable, revenue and cost reporting, capital appropriation and expenditure reporting, asset management, capital and personnel planning.
