Software Quality Assurance Analyst June 2014 to June 2015

Highlights: I assisted with testing efforts for several major releases during Umpqua Bank’s transition to all new core systems and a completely new online banking system in addition to managing and handling the primary testing efforts for various Scrum teams’ areas of focus.

Duties: I performed and managed various testing efforts involved in the conversion process of Umpqua Bank’s core systems involving a transition to a new online banking system. Responsibilities included manual black-box and limited white-box integration, regression, accessibility, and user-acceptance testing across various browsers and Android and iOS mobile devices. I prepared and managed clear and organized testing documentation in the form of defect reports, test cases, spreadsheets, and other forms in order to provide upper managers, peers, and those I supervised with clear direction and an accurate status across various stages of testing. Highlights: I worked as part of a team to manage testing efforts across US Bank’s ACAPS mainframe system and the various related applications. This included collaborating with developers, business analysts, or other project members to coordinate and produce project documentation related to testing. In addition, I performed test case execution, defect management, and testing status reporting.

Duties: I performed various testing efforts including coordination with business analysts, developers, fellow testers, and other project members to ensure quality project deliverables in proper compliance with bank and governmental laws and regulations across US Bank’s ACAPS mainframe system and its connected applications. During the earlier stages of projects, this included attending planning meetings to ensure proper quality assurance perspectives are considered in project and application development, test case creation including some efforts to allow test cases to become automatable, and planning and mapping testing efforts for the rest of the project duration. During early code implementation up until the move into production, my duties involved test case execution, defect reporting and coordination, and routinely communicating or escalating necessary testing updates to the rest of the project team.

Quality Assurance Tester October 2012 to August 2013

Nike Legal:

Highlights: I provided support to the Nike Legal team to ensure proper deployment of the 10.3 patch of the internal Nike DocIt system, to ensure the most stable and consistent experience for Nike users across the various global headquarters.

Duties: I worked as part of a team to ensure thorough testing of the 10.3 DocIt patch including defect tracking, collaboration, and resolution, using tools such as Sharepoint and Microsoft Office. I performed manual testing of various existing and new functionalities following very detailed test plans as well as intensive Ad-Hoc testing. I collaborated daily with team members to ensure continuous progress throughout the project while also managing defect resolution and production-support issues as they arose.

Highlights: In order to ensure an exceptional customer experience through the entire production process, I contributed to the testing and data validation efforts across numerous teams and interconnected systems. In addition, I helped ensure the success of multiple product launches with hard deadlines.

Duties: I worked with various system tools to analyze, study, and creatively approach multiple product lines throughout the entire production process. I used tools such as HP Quality Center to record, track, and document defect areas and their eventual resolutions. In order to deliver products to customers in the most time and cost efficient manner, I performed exhaustive data validation tests requiring an extreme attention to detail in order to ensure order accuracy and optimize system performance.
