KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Transformed Simonton Windows supply chain into a disciplined, results oriented team.

Applied human resource tools – succession planning, employee profiles, best in class hiring; lean manufacturing tools – value stream mapping, 5s, continuous improvement; quality tools – six sigma methodology, 8D’s, A3’s; and operational tools – TOC, OEE to create a culture of continuous improvement combined with the desire to win.

Implemented a new strategy integrating Suppliers and OEM into a manufacturing partnership.

Developed and launched Supplier Manufacturing Campus' in Chicago and Hermosillo with Ford Motor in partnership with thirty Tier I suppliers. Scope included new facilities, new products, logistics, manufacturing engineering and lean principles. Later expanded this strategy to operations throughout North America.

Improved Ford New Zealand’s net worth 325% through application of LEAN manufacturing principles. Business was struggling with no plans to improve or upgrade sales. Established Lean Manufacturing and operating principles, developed quality operating systems, reduced WIP and improved throughput. Tripled production and sales, increasing value of operation to $49M. Turnaround enabled Ford Motor Company to divest operation with profit.

Revitalized Ford Australia powertrain operation, curbing loses and generating profit.

Operation was losing $3M annually and struggling with quality. Created critical operating metrics that prioritized organizational resources. Revamped the management staff. Turned around the operation in one year, insuring a successful new product launch.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS (2012-2015)

Promoted to SVP with additional responsibilities for New Product Development, Code and Regulatory, and Customer Service. Scope included eight direct reports, product test lab and eight manufacturing facilities with over 2000 associates.

Applied problem solving techniques to generate $6 million per year in material, logistics and labor savings.

Led a team that generated over $10 million in annual Synergy savings during a recent acquisition.

Guided the launch of a new vinyl patio door using Stage Gate as a project management process.

VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS - CORPORATE OFFICER (2007-2012)

EXECUTIVE MANUFACTURING LEAD - MILLENNIUM PROGRAM (2003-2006)

Led launch of 30 new development sites with 30 suppliers, generating $6 billion of products. Replicated in facilities throughout North America.

Successfully implemented Supplier Campus Process in North America, including sites in Hermosillo, Mexico, Toronto, Canada and Chicago.
