Project

Title:- Automatic Dimension Measurement System. The program coding was done in C.

This was a Microcontroller 8051c based ramp which could measure the length, width & thickness of any object placed on it. When the object was placed on the ramp there were infrared led and sens0rs which would calculate the length and width of the object. The sensors calculated the length and width by counting the steps of the d.c. motor attached to the ramp. The time it took to pass the sensors. The d.c. motor was chip controlled. The robotic arm had a touch sensor which came down and touched the object from above. It would then subtract the distance covered by it from the ramp without the object. The device had a led display which showed the dimension calculated. Further development of the project was to attach a transducer to calculate the weight and resulting density.

Successfully conducted Blood Donation Camps in Engineering College.
