I was employed over 10+ years as a machinist in the companies listed below. I worked on various manual mills and lathes as well as CNC mills and lathes.

Machinist Houston, TX

Running a manual mill and CNC mill manufactured oil field parts to print. I was expected to hold tolerances as tight as +.001/- 0. I was responsible for inspecting the parts I machined prior to passing them off to the next operation.

Rad Oil, Inc. Jul. 2006 – Aug. 2007

Machinist Houston, TX

Performed all machinist functions on a CNC lathe, manual lathe and manual mill in order to produce oil field parts to print. I was expected to hold tolerances as tight as +.005/-.005. I worked with materials like SS401, SS316, Inconel and plastics machine parts such as level winds, parts for hose reels, shafts and modification of gears, rollers and spacers. Also required to perform hole drilling as needed.

Using a manual lathe, manual mill and a drill press I machined parts to print for the oil field industry. I was expected to hold tolerances as tight as 1/32”. Parts that were manufactured were pipe fittings, fixtures, drill bolt patterns, simple layout work, slots, bevel link pipes and drill holes into pipes. I was also responsible for PM’s and maintenance of machinery which included ordering tooling and replacement parts.

Utilizing both CNC and Manual mills and lathes I machined various materials like copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, bronze, copper/nickel, iron, etc into build to print parts for the oil field, semiconductor, aerospace and swimming pool industries. The machines I worked with used fanuc controls and conversation G-code programming.

As a CNC operator I was responsible for my own set ups and off sets. Some of the set ups included but were not limited to facing parts as well as doing mill work using conversation programming. Manufactured semiconductor specific parts. Miscellaneous duties included building custom equipment such as storage shelves, loading and unloading material from trucks.
