EXPERIENCE
OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, VOITH VEHICLE PROCESSING
September 2013 to Present
Initially began as a yard supervisor in charge of overseeing the prompt processing of vehicles on Ford’s Louisville Automotive Plant’s main yard, as well as off-site locations. I was in charge of 20-30 employees broken down into 2,3, or sometimes 4 crews per shift, with main responsibility being employee safety and maintaining quality standards set by Ford Automotive. I then was moved over to a new position created in the rail loading department, where I’m in charge of as many as 40 employees, whose task is to load vehicles on railcars. Main responsibility is to ensure all safety and quality guidelines are being followed while correctly loading any number of railcars daily. This position requires planning and strategy to achieve efficiency while loading. Team building, motivating and coaching is essential as well,
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, AEL SPAN
May 2008 to July 2012
Started out as second shift Supervisor in charge of a team of 6 that was responsible for receiving material, inspection and put away, and doing weekly inventory for Toyota, Nissan, and Ford programs. Also provided support for first shift thru material staging, equipment inspection and maintenance, as well as supplies support. Was offered the first shift position after 3 months and there I oversaw 20-25 employees while working in concert with Delphi, Ford Motor Company, Toyota Manufacturing, and Nissan Automotive to provide parts support for their production plants. While continuing to oversee receiving, put away, and inventory my duties now included JIT/JIS shipping to the production plants mentioned earlier.
TEAM LEAD, DIXIE WAREHOUSE
March 2006 to May 2008
First job was packing orders to be shipped and my responsibility was to verify all parts before packing. Shortly thereafter I moved up to an order selector position where my job was to correctly pick material required for orders, and report any discrepancies found while performing my task. Developed an efficiency in completing that task and was asked to assist the first shift by doing rework and reorder that they were behind on. Eventually promoted to team lead.
