Currently I am a graduate student completing the Master of Employment Labor and Relations at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). I learned that your organization is looking for a Human Resources Assistant. With hands on experience in people skills as an Asian Delegate for International Club and Vice President for Malaysian Student Association at Winona State University (WSU) and with the theoretical applications of negotiation and bargaining I learned and practice at IUP I am confident of being valuable and contributing positively to your organization.
Prior to my studies in WSU and IUP I was a successful Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives and Telemarketer. I received my training from ALCON in Singapore and work in Malaysia. I provided sales services to existing clients and open new target markets by meeting General Practitioners. As an active telemarketer I would make phone calls to potential clients and market hotel stays and related products. The training and experiences enable me to build databases of clients and be comfortable talking to a variety of people on the phone.
At IUP I assisted the Department in Administration and Fund raising. Also, I assisted in the set-up of Exhibition events and promoting IUP and provided answers to inquiries from students and parents

ACHIEVMENT
I represented myself as an ambassador between the client and the management team. I tried my very best to solve the problem of bad debt at the professional level to prevent any legal action to proceed. Whenever there was any problem, I was the first to show that I would be with the client even though there was nothing I could do to fix them. My client gained confidence to do business with me and my company.
I managed to open new target markets via cold calling to General Practitioners to buy our company’s product which was initially made available to Ophthalmologists and Pharmacies.
I have been sales professional for about a decade. This is my personal achievement as an Indian female who went into the field that was dominated by Chinese males. I managed to promote the company and myself to the clients who were amazed by my enthusiasm to do my job. Sometimes the client would give me business just because of my persistence and constantly educating them of the new information that would be beneficial for their company too. The suppliers just gave me business just based on my knowledge and diligence even though the competitors had a very competitive quotation. I have always carried this attitude of persistence and sharing competitive knowledge.
