I have more than 2 years nursing experience in the medical surgical area and another 3 years as utilization management nurse. My nursing career is basically from the Philippines but for the utilization nurse, I was working virtually as a nurse for an American company. Currently, I am finishing my Initial registration for overseas nurses here in Australia wherein I am given 2 weeks of didactics with 4 weeks exposure to an aged care facility and 6 weeks exposure to an acute care set up.

Position: Program Manager- Utilization Review Nurse
HCCA-HC is an American based company that has put up a Clinical process outsource in the Philippines to cater its wide variety of clients. It provides Worker’s Compensation, Utilization Management, intake- Medicare and telephonic services, Medicare Risk adjustments and health coaching. It is certified by URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Committee) for both UM and workers compensation. For My Particular Department, I have worked for a radiology benefit management group where-in we assess the patient data before they undergo certain radiologic procedures such as CT scans, MRIs and PET scans in congruent with the insurance guidelines and policies. I am a pioneer of the group and I have been a manager of the group for 3 years where in I have started with 8 staffs and it grew to 49 staffs.

Medical Center Imus is a 100 bed tertiary hospital in Cavite. It caters most of the patient from the city of Imus. The Hospital is accredited by the Department of Health and with different care facilities to cater the needs of the patient like medical surgical wards, theater, intensive care unit, nursery and emergency room department.
