Support the mission by providing customers with BETTS-C/RAID operating experience and support, including reconnaissance and targeting with specialized sensor and payload equipment. Maintain operational readiness by completing maintenance and logistics. Demonstrate advanced skills in the installation and maintenance of the 80 foot and 107 foot BETTS-C Towers, the Force Protection Suite (FPS) components C2 Server Nodes, Video Archive Distribution Server (VADS), Network Camera Controller (NCC), Long Range Thermal Imager (LRTI), KBD300A Controller, Pan Tilt Zoom Camera (PTZ), Bosch Infrared Illuminator, Closed Circuit Television Cameras, Power Conditioning Unit (PCU), Man-Portable Surveillance Target Acquisition Radar (MSTAR), Battlefield Anti-Intrusion System (BAIS), BlueSky Mast, and Tree Top Towers. Additional equipment supported includes the Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (G-BOSS), and the Medium-Range Thermal Imager (MRTI). Served as the SME/mentor for end-users, providing informal and formal system instruction. Demonstrated knowledge of all BETSS-C systems and maintained responsibility for the assigned sensor systems including installations, operations, and maintenance.

Calvary Scout, A Troop 1/124 CAV

Gunner on the HMMWV crew, responsible for the security of the HMMWV and crew; as part of a team in collaboration with other vehicles, moved as one unit. Reconnoiter convoy routes to identify trouble spots and ambush sites, possible locations for traffic control posts (TCPs), and/or checkpoints. Verified route conditions and tracked friendly units in the area. As a Tower Guard, provided security for the ECP (Entry Control Point); continually scanned the area of operations using thermals and magnified scopes. As ECP security, searched incoming personnel and tracked known threats on the blue force tracker; monitored PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) unit across known areas of interest.
