The City College of New York
WORK EXPERIENCE
December 2009 July2010
Line Maintenance Intern
Mach II Maintenance. JFK International Airport Terminal One
Performed line maintenance on various commercial aircrafts such as 747,777, A350, A340, and A330.
Duties included checking log books once aircraft landed, troubleshooting faults, performing minor
repairs and prepping the aircraft for departure.
RELEVANT COURSES

Aero-Thermo Fluids Lab Manufacturing Process Heat Transfer
PROJECTS
3D Model of Computer Fan: Created a 3D model of a computer fan in Solidworks using complex curves.
FEA Analysis of a Pulley: Performed FEA analysis to obtain the location of maximum stress on a pulley.
Perform stress calculations and analysis using FEA analysis. Afterwards, designed improvements such as
adding fillets to eliminating re-entrant corners on the pulley based on the results of the FEA analysis.
CFD Analysis of Aircraft Winglets: This project was aimed toward finding out the effect of winglets on
a wings aerodynamics. The project was started by creating a solid model of an aircraft using a computer
aided design tool and then performing ANSYS simulation on the aircraft with and without winglets.
FEA Analysis of a Coat Hanger: Iteratively performed finite element analysis to obtain the maximum
number of jeans that a standard, plastic hanger can withstand before failing. Afterwards, modified the
hanger is a way to better distribute the stresses when more jeans are placed on it. Finally, designed a
system that shows imminent failure because plastic hangers are made of brittle materials.
LEADERSHIP
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Vice President 2012 Present
In charge of structure design team and supervising a group of 5-8 students in designing, testing and running
structural analysis on the airplane in various engineering software such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, and
receiving feedback on the design.
In charge of planning and manufacturing a RC aircraft for the AIAA Design, Build, Fly Competition.
Manufactured various components of the aircraft using composite fabrication, 3D printing and laser cutting.
