This position in this urban 200 bed community hospital included a broad range of duties and responsibilities. I worked in several areas within the hospital, including the Post-Surgical Inpatient floor, the Medical Inpatient floor, the Recovery room, as well as Ambulatory services.

RN - Operating Room

In this position over three years, I was as an Operating Room Nurse at this hospital, where procedures in the following areas were performed: urology, colorectal, orthopedics, gynecology, obstetrics, ENT, general and plastic surgery.

During an average shift at this high volume hospital, I was the assigned Operating Room Nurse for 4 to 7 elective and non-elective same-day and inpatient procedures.

. Catch lab samples, identified samples and sent to laboratory

. Inserted IV cannulas and started IV fluids
