Assigned to Panasonic Automotive Systems Peachtree GA. to assist in the design of the Chrysler Gen#2 Radio Chassis and housing cover with Die Draft. Developed location of circuit boards and antenna location. Created 2D parts and packaging assembly’s drawings for full assembly and individual parts along with exploded view drawings using. Used Sketcher and freeform features to create any major model changes. Used assembly for study of form and fit of all parts. (UNIGRAPHICS NX 8 & NX9).

Hauni Richmond Inc. Richmond, VA. Hauni is the largest manufacture of cigarette producing machines. I have been hired to design one of their newest cigarette manufacturing machines; the new cigarette is called the Eclipse which will produce smokeless cigarettes. I am responsible for the Filter, Heat Source, Tobacco Rod and Overwrap Foil of the cigarette. Hauni used drums which transferred the necessary products to the final location. I designed rotating drums such as Transfer drums which would transfer the product from station to station. The cutting drums would cut the Heat Source and the Filter Rod; the Separation drums would move the dissected products along with the other material to the final station. These parts are created with Sketcher and Free Formed Features. All designs of this equipment are design on (UNIGRAPHICS NX7, 8 & Team Center 2007).

TTI Industries, Anderson, SC. I was assigned to outdoor products, on a short to long-term contract. My first assignment was designing the main a class surfaces of the main body of their new 2012 42cc Polymer Back Pack Blower with Die Draft, a new rotary blade for the engine, filter housing and filter assembly. I designed new set turbo blades, and “A” class surface for their new hand held 6cc Hand held Blower. I am modifying the cover of a current 4 cycle Ryobi chain saw using combination glass/plastic mixture, and or polymers. I was responsible for the main components: Volute, Fuel tank, cooling air duct, and the main frame which held the unit together. Modifying assembly files for the manufacturing department in China create step, and DXF files to send to the perspective customers. I have used Wave linker for left and right parts that are symmetrically opposite. I am using sketcher which is a feature operation for simple and complex parts for later modifications and freeform features for later parametric operations. I have taken on a mentoring role to assist new contract designers. I am also redesigning a new locking system for the Ryobi 4cc chain saw, which is now gearing up for tooling of the new parts. I was assigned to (GTS) Gas Turbine Systems, on a long-term designing air filtration system for large complex organizations, vehicles of all types: commercial, military, and aircraft. My duties included: Designing Gas Turbine Blades for the companies new and improved filtration system and main heavy supporting system, and Modified the old assembly files for manufacturing department in Japanese, South American, India, and European market, create step, and DXF files to send to the perspective customers. Create new assemblies of Silencers, Splitter Silencers, and TTD Electrical systems. I have used Wave linker for left and right parts that are symmetrically opposite. I am using sketcher which is a feature operation for simple and complex parts for later modifications and freeform features for later parametric operations. I have taken on a mentoring role to assist new contract designers and help them adjust to the Donaldson system and design procedures.

Isringhausen, GMBH & CO. KG I was a Designer for a manufacturer and supplier of seats for the large truck industries such as Peter Built, Volvo, and Scania and Ken worth. I Designed stamped sheet metal brackets through sheet metal features for one and two stage reclining lever. I created a solid model of a two-step upper and lower back adjuster in addition, one stage full back adjuster lever. I used a designed from Catia wire frame data, stationary premium, plus tool box seats for Ken worth and a stationary tube riser seats for Paccar in the Tek1 group. I created solid models of upper back and seat foam for Scania aircraft flagship seat and airbus. I detailed the tooling for the seat assembly, maintained symmetrical parts through the wave geometry linker.

I was responsible for “B” surface and solid model of front fascia, sub straight rear step pads and clipping attachments and their locations. Maintained symmetrical parts through wave geometry linker, attended weekly process meetings with the engineer and the styling department. I interfaced with the suppliers and design leaders of Lear Engineering, Eurotech, Tiercon, and Omega Tool Corporation of Ontario, Canada.

Assigned to Saab of Scandinavian AB, TKDK-K3 group to assist in design and Unigraphics (UG) support working on the #442 project, which was the convertible. I was involved in the predevelopment of the #442-tonneau cover to determine split line and packaging location. I was affiliated with the design of the waist inner and outer sheet metal support, along with the Interior, and door sheet metal, lever component. Design fog lamp crystal, bumper fascia, and support foam for the bumper. Interfaced with engineer and styling engineer. I had supplied perspective view, section views, and dimension drawings through 2D software. My primary work was developed for prototypes as well as production for General Motors (GM) PDM.
