During my time in Dubai I was approached and given the opportunity of moving to Abu Dhabi to set up a design company for a Private & Prominent Family Owned Company. I was given a role that “assumed ownership” of the practice with freedom to set up the company and handle as first priority the owner’s private projects these included.

As part of a very large family owned Group of Companies it also had ‘in-house’ a joinery/carpentry workshop and also through one of the other Associated Companies a full construction establishment which allowed us to carry out a full design and build turnkey solution.

In 2002 Avenue Interiors (as it was called at that time) was only able to handle interior design projects but under my management began to take on board architectural design concepts, landscape schemes and exteriors as part of the expansion of the practice.

In 2003 the owners decided to rename the company AVENUE DESIGN as this was felt more suitable to the diverse projects that I was able to bring into the design practice. Under my leadership we carried out Hospitality Projects & Retail Schemes within the U.A.E. including YAS ISLAND F1 Race Track.

I left the Company in July 2012 to set-up KISASA Design Associates.

DESIGN DIVISION L.L.C. - Dubai

I arrived at this time from Nairobi, Kenya to take up a position as SENIOR DESIGNER for a Design Company with a turnkey practice owned by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Royal Family of Dubai.

This very large Multi-disciplined practice consisted of a team of over 36 Designers.

Visualizes, F.F.E. Designers and 3D AutoCAD Draughtsman our projects working largely on Royal Commissions and V.V.I.P. Schemes including the Design & Fit-out of the DUSIT Hotel Dubai.

With its own in-house joinery fit our factory/workshop most of the items would be manufactured as part of a “design 'n build" package.

My prime objective and the reason behind my appointment was to handle a Royal Project in London’s Regents Part England for H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin ZAYED al NAHYAN (the owner of Man City Football Club).

This was a Grade 2 listed building in heart of London. (Portfolio of this project is available)

I followed his impeccable style & taste having been very fortunate to meet him on a number of occasions in London.

He took time to enquire about my work in Yorkshire and I brought his collection of fabrics to the North of England to feature them in my projects.
