Porting scheduled batch software currently running on Maestro onto a new machine running Control-M scheduler. Converting PL/SQL scripts to stored procedures.

Worked on porting the Executive Reports using Oracle Forms 6i to Microsoft SQL Reporting Manager 3.0 in an effort to decommission the server where they are running.

Designed and implemented a generic web page that would replace Control-M scripts with a User Interface for the internal customer. Support the US Air Force requirements of the computer systems used to release, process and distribute weather balloon data for daily distribution to local weather forecasting centers, special weather conditions and during all launches from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base or Kennedy Space Center.

Daily System Administration responsibilities include daily backups (zip and emulation/upload), writing scripts to maintain minimum disk space usage, check status of Clariion disks (Raid 0 - mirrored) with hot backup disk; check status of distributed data, verify communication lines operation, supporting radar control for recalibration tests and ensure the systems remained in either partial or full mission capability status at all times.

Pre-Flight launch (F-2, F-1 and Launch day) System Administration responsibilities include supporting the customer (Atlas, Delta, Shuttle-Huston, Space-X) for data/voice required communications checks. During the mission, reported all information to Met Systems, via voice box; (the release/termination time of each balloon; ensure the data was edited and sent to customers within spec; report any data or balloon anomalies; monitor and report any system anomalies-estimate problem and possible fix, estimate impact on launch, determine system status-Non, Partial or Full Mission Capable, call in progress of fixes); Document and backup all events and data post-mission.

Stepped up to take on all system administration duties when the primary system administrator had to take family leave. Managing all daily and pre-flight operations which allowed the primary system administrator to have to be present only during the actual launch window.

As Integration Lab Lead, given the responsibility to schedule (MS Project & VISIO) and direct a team of three system administrators in the tasks of constructing and maintaining two separate hardware platforms to test the releases of the software modifications/new applications of the company’s monitor and control standard product software for electric utility customers.

Releases of other third party software (COTS – Acad12/13/2000/2002 for PC, Simba, Samba etc) used by the applications in the standard product were loaded/patched.

Responsible for scheduling bi-weekly software builds of standard product (Clearcase, Cleartrack); Determining which fixes and new applications were in the builds; Distributing the build onto a platform for testing; Updates/patches to third party software; Updates/patches to operating system software; Functionality testing of the build and third party software before releasing the platform to the testing group.
