Manufacturing Engineer

Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, soliciting observations from operators.

Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, cycle time improvement, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

Train production personnel on how to use new and modified production equipment.

Develop and define production assembly and test processes through the utilization of tools, including PFMEA’s, work instructions and process flowcharts.

Provide CNC programming service for the shop floor.

Create method sheets, tooling sheets, setting sheets, planning and process drawings, jig and fixture drawings and assist in the management of consumable tooling.
