A Dynamic Hands-on Leader - Recognized for leadership in reorganized manufacturing lines to achieve extraordinary efficiency in production and implemented cutting-edge manufacturing techniques and process improvements to dramatically increase performance. Successful in leading diverse teams to deliver positive results.

Well versed in design of various tooling and holding fixtures used by both manufacturing and quality control.

Strong working knowledge of machining of various types of metal, including the exotic metals.

Knowledgeable with the practice of vertical and horizontal milling as well as metal turning on both conventional and NC lathes. Other forms of metal process include manual and hydraulic metal spinnings.

Dramatically increased production, Challenged to improve production of Apiqe’s new water dispensing system. Drove production from five to 60 units per week in less than two months through improved production layout, streamlined manufacturing procedures, with the incorporation of Lean principals and training of personnel on proper/efficient use of tools and equipment.

Redesigned tooling and received patent, Trac-line Project Manager at Hughes Aircraft successful in modernizing mechanical assembly division. This modernization encompassed the concepts of IQ (Installation Qualification) and PQ (Performance Qualification). The elimination of unnecessary in-process rework due to improper tools and instructions (Lean), ergonomically sound assembly procedures and designed and created labor-specific ergonomic tools and tooling fixtures. Awarded patent for a new–concept moveable support arm for microscopes.

Created new profit center, Project Lead for the purpose of creating an in-house machine shop (Precision Machining Center) for the manufacturing and machining of egress devices. Proposed marketing these efficient services of the Precision Machining Center to other manufacturers as a sub-contract manufacturing facility. Developed price quotes, managed budgeting, scheduling and production, and oversaw logistics of external parts machined. Produced high quality parts on schedule and within budget ensuring the success of the profit center.

Reduced costs and waste (Lean), Anthony International had unacceptable levels of glass discarded due to scratching. Developed procedure to buff out scratches with minimal visual distortion, meeting requirements of no scratches over one inch or visible at 18 inches. Reduced scrap 75%, improved throughput 32% and cut costs 68%.
