RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Daily: .Check temperatures of water baths, refrigerator, freezer, Cold room. If there are anything out of range notify the supervisor.

.Pull out sample tubes according to run sheets.

.Pick up Mail from the Post office.

.Open mail to check patient’s name on request form to match the Saliva tubes and date, time. Check status of sample volume (too old, viscous, wrong sample). If there are any problems record and send to customer service.

.Staple all papers and stick a label to the tube with request form and send to customer service.

.Label tubes for saliva aliquot, freeze and thaw samples in cold water .Help technologist counting the assays.

.Wash assayed tubes with the washer.

.Empty regular trash and biohazard waste.

.Scan the bench for radioactive contamination with Geiger counter. Weekly change water for water baths and monthly Do swipe test and washed tube checking.
