EXPERIENCE

I have around five years of experience in steel industry.

Currently Working as Maintenance Engineer / Incharge in SMS section at JR Metals Chennai Ltd. since Feb, 2012. (25 MT Megatherm furnace, 2 strand 6/11 CCM, HT & LT installations and EOT cranes, Pump House)

Responsibilities :

Planning of shutdown for Maintenance related works and completing it within specified time ; Maintaining track record of Breakdown and Maintenance works carried out on daily, weekly and monthly basis; Reporting of a breakdown or maintenance related issues to higher authorities.

Troubleshooting in Furnace SFC Panel and Electrical Installations ; troubleshooting in CCM MCC panel ; Attending breakdown in Furnace Division(mechanical and electrical) and CCM(electrical) ; planning and execution of preventive maintenance.

Checking the daily consumption and availability of items in the store and keeping track record or the items issued for maintenance ; Providing indent of spare materials that are running short and urgently needed .

Prepare and verify the daily checklist for EOT cranes, Pump House, all electrical installations; maintaining the water hardness upto minimum level possible.

Worked as Electrical Engineer in 40 MT Electrotherm Induction Furnace in SMS Division at Mahalaxmi TMT Pvt Ltd, Wardha for 1 year and 3 months. ( nov 2010 –feb 2012).

(40 MT Electrotherm f/c – 2 units, EOT cranes – 20 tons capacity/10 nos. and 100 tons/2 nos, 17 MVA transformer – 2 nos, Auto Transformers -2 nos, 4 MVA LT transformer, DG, Compressors, DM and Hydraulic units, HT and LT capacitor bank for power factor improvement).

Roles and Responsibilities :

Troubleshooting regarding problems in Panels, PLC, SCADA and PDLM Machine ; Maintaining power factor, load factor and keep a close eye on its variations.

Attending Breakdown in SMS section and solving it as soon as possible; Preparing Daily Power Consumption Report as well as Delay Report; To prepare daily checklist for F/C and CCM electrical units, Pump House and RO plant.

Worked as Service Engineer at Elite Business Machines Pvt Ltd, New Delhi. ( oct 2009-oct 2010).

Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (Sri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engg. College) from Nagpur University.
