Received prestigious company award for having the lowest accident rate, handling advocate groups, eliminating risk, maintaining a positive company image in the community, and no NOV’s. The key to this success was reorganizing managerial and executive communication standards for ownership which allowed all 4,835 employees (non-union and union) to work as one safe team.
Authored safety training and tracking programs for hourly and management employees. Focusing on drivers, ergonomics, risk management, human performance, environmental, and security to refocus operations toward the primary safety goal of zero accidents. This process lowered the safety incident rate from 2.98 to 0.37 with 9.2 million man-hours worked, and no NOV’s.
