Role: Consulting Lead QA Automation/Architect

Description: InEight provides technology solutions for project-driven companies in the EC&O, Mining, Oil & Gas and Utilities industries. InEight is a premier SAP Channel Partner.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop the test automation framework from scratch.

Developed unified automation central framework in .Net C# framework to cater to multiple product groups for GUI, WebServices on MS Azure cloud, on-prem and mobile devices.

Role: Director QA Automation

Description: Druva is Sequoia and NVP funded startup established in 2008. It is Gartner #1 market leader in End Point Data Protection and Governance. Druva inSync takes care of complete data backup, recovery and leak protection of your data on laptops, desktops and mobile devices (Android, iOS, Windows) using backup to Amazon Cloud.

The project involved test automation of 5000+ test scenarios and with continuous cloud updates every two-week it was essential to provide solid regression coverage with minimal manual intervention. At the same time challenge was to enhance or refresh the automation framework so as to be more stable and predictable.

Responsibilities:

Implemented Behavior Driven Development (BDD) for regression as well as new feature test automation using Gherkin DSL.

Developed Page Object Model based GUI automation framework.

Design and development of test automation scripts in Selenium WebDriver 2, Ruby Cucumber as well as in Python and Robottest.

Lead the development of test automation for critical cloud infra feature such backup Cache server, Email backup, etc. from scratch.

Introduced Continuous Integration (CI) practice for automation code using Jenkins-CI.

Setup Agile scrum based process and introduced Jira for Sprint planning and tracking.

Scaled the automations by engaging contracting vendor engineering team to develop automated test and regression execution.

The Project involved testing and automation of vCenter server through WebUI and SOAP API interfaces for Update and patch releases including escalation repros.

Responsibilities:

Managed a Quality Engineering team spread in India and US.

Led the test automation in Java, Selenium and TestNG based framework.

Overall test planning & execution for VC Updates, features, GA, hot patches.

Test automation in Ruby, Selenium & Cucumber.

Managed multiple (8+) GA releases including two critical Single Sign On (SSO) and network security releases involving fixes and enhancements to VC 5.1 & 5.5 releases.

Planning and execution of product hot fixes and patches, automation, Request for Product Qualification (RPQs) and customer advocacy.

Customer Escalations Management: Leading the escalation repros, interacting with customers, tech support staff, account & product management.

Led the code coverage testing efforts using Cobertura.

Responsibilities:

Team Setup: As a Scrum Master setup the dev-test team, led the knowledge transfer, project planning and execution, and coordination with Australia based development team.

Test Automation development in Java in Rational Functional Tester, Rational Performance Tester and Rational Quality Manager.

Led the development in Python as a part of dev scrum team.

Successfully led the Webservices SOA/Content security product incubation initiative from concept to prototype development in the area of Access Management for Content Management system (FileNet).

Description: The product was Veritas Backup Reporter - VBR (now known as Symantec OpsCenter). VBR collects the information about the backup infrastructure such as backup size, duration, media used, throughput, etc. and creates predictive analytical reports and dashboard for backup infra planning such as future requirement of storage, backup failure analysis, etc. including billing.

The Project involved testing and automation of VBR for multiple releases.

Responsibilities:

As a member of 6 people team I was the complete owner of quality of deliverables for Veritas NetBackup related components/modules in Veritas Backup Reporter.

Was part of first Agile implementation Pilot project across Business Unit.

Test automation of functional test suite using Perl, Shell & MySQL

Setting up the SAN test infrastructure involving EMC arrays and Brocade FC switch.

Role: DevTest Engineer.

Description: The product was Reconnex iGuard a ERM network data leak protection appliance. iGuard captures the network traffic at the wire speed, does a deep packet analysis, dumps TCP/IP packets into a data store and generates alerts, reports for any sensitive information flowing outside the network as per the policies set for violation of any corporate givernance policies such as SOX, GLBA, HIPPA,etc.

The Project involved testing and automation of iGuard network appliance.

Responsibilities:

Test owner for TCP/IP Capture Filter module & reporting dashboard for Data Leak Prevention appliance Reconnex iGurad.

Web UI Test Automation development from scratch in Jython (Python on JVM) on QEngine an UI automation tool.

Completely owned and automated keyword highlighting feature of iGuard.
