Customer Logistics Manager

Responsibilities:
Shipping, Receiving, sequencing, small lot. Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations as well as hazardous materials.
Continuous training of associates regarding safety and work details. Daily contact with the customer (General
Motors) in regards to any variation in shipments or time of departure. Supervise 100+ associates in a 1.3
million square foot facility. Daily audits and inventory with data input. Communicate to upper management
daily progress made or issues that may impact other shifts. Monthly assessment of plant departments.
Accomplishments
Reduced the amount of safety accidents from previous manager from 36 per year to 3 a year which is one of
the best in the plant. Maintained a 100% rate of on time shipments. Developed Team Leads for advancement
into management positions. Increased productivity while lowering accident rates.
Skills Used
Used the 5S system and Kaizan approach to cleanliness and safety. Building my associates into a team that
supported each other through positive reinforcement, coaching and leading by example. Used Windows Excel,
Word, MGO and various other programs on a daily basis. Analyzed daily shipments and staffing needs for
