Quality Assurance Supervisor 10/2008 – 1/2015

Cargill Kitchen Solutions, Lake Odessa MI

Investigated product quality and food safety issues, and provided oversight of product retain and

clearance. Worked directly with all departments (production, maintenance, etc) to drive achievement of shared goals.

Provided technical expertise and support in the areas of food safety, product quality,

sensory attributes, and microbiological testing. Lead the facility's sensory program and training.

Managed our SPC data trending of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for our largest customer.

Served as site lead for ISO (GFSI, FSSC 22k, SQF focus) audit during initial certification, and provided support to maintain certification.

Responsible for scheduling and oversight of technician team, including their professional development. Numerous technicians were promoted under my supervision, one becoming a salaried supervisor.

Served as regulatory liaison for USDA and FDA inspection program, and was the locational expert in food regulations. In this role, the facility underwent an EIAO investigation/assessment and was cleared with no findings.

Responsible for leading preparatory planning for upcoming audits. Lead customer and 3rd party audits, including NSF Cook and Thurber.

Responsible for sampling and testing of various product quality, sensory, and microbiology

attributes.

Developed into dual functionality between microbiology and QA positions, and was
