August 2012 to May 2015

CareHere LLC Chattanooga/Brentwood, TN.

In this position I was responsible for the management of 10 medical centers and the medical center staff throughout the southeast. This included the approval of timecards, the recruitment and training of new employees and the daily supervision/management of the staff at each location.

My position also managed and provided direction to subordinate directors and their locations throughout the country.

My position served as the point of contact for the clients in regards to the management and direction of their Medical centers.

My position was responsible as the Corporate Director of Occupational Services throughout the company.

Providing guidance, direction and consistency throughout the organization as it pertains to the Occupational and Workers Compensation Programs.

Other duties included: Senior Director in charge of Risk Management for CareHere LLC.

Human Resources: Responsible for administering all aspects of Human Resources at the Chattanooga Mill location. This included, but was not limited to, maintaining employee records, recruiting, unemployment claims, employee performance appraisals, maintaining temporary staff, hiring processes, termination processes, harassment claims, employee issues/representation, monitor/document employee training, record retention, assist in the development and/or revision of company policies, etc. Monitoring the employee 90 day training period for new hire employees to ensure reviews and evaluations are conducted on 30 day intervals.

Responsible for entering all corporate PAN forms into the system for purposes of status change, department change, termination and promotion/demotion.

In this position I also represented the mill in Union negotiations as well as during HR functions both locally as well as at any corporate functions.

Also responsible as the site Equal Employment and Affirmative Action Official.

Implemented and assisted the employees with benefits to include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, retirement, EAP, FMLA, ADA, Short Term and Long Term Disability.

Also assisted the retirees with any benefit issues they may have.

Responsible for recruiting, scheduling the interviews, administering and processing the new hire employee's documents (I-9) and training records as well as any other HR functions as assigned by the General Manager.

Safety: As the Safety Manager my position was responsible for the sites OSHA compliance, maintaining an effective and productive plant Safety Committee, keeping all safety programs current, conducting and/or overseeing monthly employee safety training for effectiveness and compliance.

Responsible for the Contractor Safety Program, internal safety and health inspections, and monthly safety reporting.

Also responsible for evaluating and recommending new programs, ideas, or products to enhance our safety and health program.

Was able to achieve company award for the best site safety turn around performance for FY 2012.

My position also served as the site Workers Compensation Manager to include communication with the Workers Compensation carrier, injury reporting and tracking, maintaining the site OSHA 300 logs, injury investigations, inputting the sites data in to the RockTenn corporate tracking system (RAMS).

In the Safety function I also represent the mill during Safety functions both locally as well as any corporate functions (ex. local ASSE meetings and corporate safety functions as needed).

My role was to administer and process the new hire employee's documents and training records as well as any other Safety functions as assigned by the General Manager.

Environmental: As the Environmental Manager my responsibilities were for overseeing the environmental performance of the Chattanooga Mill. As the Environmental Manager I also develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable development.

I was responsible for examining the Chattanooga Mill activities to establish where improvements can be made and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.

As the Environmental Manager I was to ensure that the Chattanooga Mill complies with environmental regulations in the areas of air quality, waste, clean water and pollution.

I was responsible for all local, state and federal reporting as it pertained to the Environmental functions of the Chattanooga Mill location.

Occupational Safety and Health Manager/Risk Manager

October 2009 to May 2011

City of Chattanooga Chattanooga, TN

In this position I was able to implement a new injury on duty program for the City and was able to reduce injuries and provide an offset of costs of 1.2 million in the first year and a half.

Provided direction and guidance for the occupational safety and health programs for the City of Chattanooga.

Served as a lead to all City departmental Occupational Safety Specialists to include monitoring work and providing training and direction on work methods and procedures.

Conducted and coordinated occupational safety- related training programs.

Coordinated safety-related health programs.

Performed general safety inspections throughout the City work locations to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

Maintained the overall OSHA recordkeeping on City employee work injuries, ensuring that the departments enter accurate and timely information.

In this position I developed and wrote all of the Safety Programs and Procedures for NA Industries. I also implemented and led training for the DuPont STOP program and the DuPont Take Two program for supervision and hourly employees.
