Description

MACS Super Station is the central GUI Case workflow system handling dispute cases originating through Mail, Telephone (TSS) and Internet (OLB). MSS is an Imaging system used to process customer correspondence. Mail Access Customer Satisfaction Super Station (MSS) employs a Comprehensive GUI that provides new functionality and seamless access to multiple systems and databases utilized by MACS representatives. This environment not only allows Bank of America to gain a competitive advantage, but also provides a marketing tool to gain new Affinity Groups. The systems and databases utilized by the MSS include Chargeback, Online Cardholder, Direct Send, Miscellaneous Fees, LVIS, and Disputes.

Online Multi-system Network Interface (OMNI) is a scalable, distributed application used to support various business functions such as account maintenance, fraud management, risk management, credit line management, authorizations and imaging. Its objective is to minimize the risk of loss to the bank by providing analysts with the tools for credit line management and for preventing and identifying fraud.

The POOLARIS system suite was developed following 2-tier client/server principles, with some functionality now migrated to intranet/web-based architecture.

VRIS(Value Resource Information System), ORIS, TRIS and FRIS run on a central Unix/Sybase SQL Anywhere database server, while BRIS runs on three Windows 2000/MS SQL Server 2000 servers on location in China. The clients have been developed with the Power Builder, Centura, Delphi and Omnis Studio tools.

All systems in the POOLARIS suite are connected via system interfaces, which are a key part in the POOLARIS concept. There are also a number of interfaces to external systems such as CBS and GOT.

The order-processing module performs operation such as performa invoice entry, maintenance of client, agent, designs of silk material, currency, bank, preparation of documents such as performa invoice, work order and generation of related MIS report.

The Shipment module performs operation such as receiving silk materials from the suppliers, maintenance of supplier details, preparing packing lists, allotment of boxes and generation of related MIS reports.
