Administrative:
Once company merged in 2009, I was the referral department for a group of 12 primary care physicians by myself. Referrals were done either same day or next day, once approved I scheduled the patient an appointment and then requested clinical's from the specialist if we did not receive them. I used Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to track and follow up with every referral issued from our facility. At anytime I was prepared to print the spreadsheet for a provider meeting and they had accurate, up to date information. Additional skills include written letters of medical necessity, insurance verification, and centralized appointment scheduling. Proficient in electronic medical records such as e clinicals, and e mds. With e mds I trained the clinical staff as well as the doctors to utilize the system.
