Rationalized Aruvil’s product mix to meet customer demand. Supervised total reorganization of Overseas Distributor’s warehouse. Managed complete restructuring of warehouse that stocked more than 1200 different items. Organized inventory to ensure ease of locating products for order fulfillment. Convinced the owners to install a security system to prevent break-ins and eliminate employee theft. Result: Increased warehouse productivity, enhanced customer satisfaction and significantly reduced shrinkage.
Purchased and exported secondary steel. Researched secondary steel market and cultivated relationships with key suppliers. Capitalized on opportunities to purchase secondary steel at auction and export to Overseas Distributor’s manufacturing facility in India. Result: Procuring steel at very low prices and shipping to India to manufacture products led to increased profits.
Maintained consistent communication with production department and owners in India. Monitored product ordering stocks with Overseas Distributors factory staff and coordinated scheduling of import containers. Re-structuring & building of 2nd warehouse at Overseas Distributors. Supervised the building of 2nd warehouse and installation of 75 containers around the warehouse to stock the inventory.
