Title : Hardware Implementation Of PID Controller Using FPGA Spartan 3E Platform : VLSI Design Duration: 1 Month

Description : The design and implementation of multiplier less digital PID controller based on FPGA device. The proposed method is based on Distributed Arithmetic (DA) architecture. The PID controller is designed using MATLAB and Simulink to generate the desired controller characteristics. The architecture was implemented using SysGen to give flexibility, compatibility with the Simulink design of a controller. The controller coefficients are then included in Verilog that implements the PID controller on to FPGA.

Title : Autonomous Navigation Robot for Landmine Detection Platform : Embedded System Design Duration: 6 Months Description : The design of a holonomic mobile robot for rough terrain that can replace the human role in the demining applications. The proposed model is a two axis robot with 8051 Microcontroller, Ultrasonic sensor, Zigbee transceivers and mine detection sensor. Microcontroller is to control the movement. Ultrasonic sensor to find the obstacle in the path. Zigbee transceivers for communication between robot and control unit and mine detection sensor to detect the land mine.
