Career profile:

Jan served in the Slovakian Army and French Foreign Legion for six years. After five years of military service in 2nd REP of the French Foreign Legion, corporal Kohut retired from active duty in February 2005.

During his time in the Armed Forces, he developed extensive skills in people management, design and provision of training courses, operational management, project management and communications.

Jan’s company’s specialty was destruction and sniper attacks. Jan became expert in Anti- Tank Missile Operations using Eryx.

In November 2005 Jan moved to Haiti to commence his Close Protection Officer (CPO) security career. Over the last four years as security professional, he has developed a variety of skills including:

Security of client homes

CPO operations, e.g. client protection during transit

Team leadership for CPO engagements

Security operations

Transport Control for a fleet of security vehicles. In January 2007 Jan was promoted to manage the site security of antenna sites for the mobile telephone operator DIGICEL. This included the protection of 630 antenna sites throughout Haiti.

A critical component of the site management required the complete preparation and execution of an extensive training plan for the sites‘740 Haitian security personnel. In addition, Jan was seconded to establish effective security antenna site management systems and processes in Guatemala and El Salvador on behalf of DIGICEL. In April 2010 Jan started working with Page Group Limited for European Union in Haiti as CPO for ambassador EU and International Guard Supervisor of local guards IGS. In May 2011 Jan started working with Argus Security Project Limited for European Union Haiti as International Guard Supervisor of local guard. In April 2012 Jan moved to Libya still working with Argus Security Project Limited for European Union in Libya as CPO for ambassador EU.

In March 2013 Jan returned with Argus Security Project Limited as a CPO later CPO TL, QRF TL for EUBAM Libya (European Union Integrated Border Management Assistance Mission in Libya); from April 2014 with new company Garda World International Protective Services as a CPO TL. Since September 2014 Jan worked as Country Security Coordinator in Libya for Argus Security Project Limited.

Throughout a highly successful career to date, Jan has developed extensive knowledge and experience in covert operations worldwide. He is expert in small arms, and highly proficient with a wide range of foreign and domestic weapons. Jan is highly computer literate, and proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Objective:
