For 2007-2008, I taught Kindergarten for at-risk students. 2008-2009 I transitioned to being the sole ESL K-5 instructor for the school system.. During the last seven years, the program has grown: this year I s monitored over 100 students and provided classroom instruction for 33 first year students as well as coordinatie with classroom teachers.

I have taken a seminar at the international TESOL convention on reading issues singular to ESL learners and participated in a Summer Seminar for using inquiry methods in teaching literature that was sponsored by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.

Taught ESOL grades four and five in this international school with an American based curriculum. Member of ESOL curriculum committee and participated in professional development on guided reading instruction and ESL in the mainstream.
