I am writing to express my interest in the TSS position for Integrity Search Solution in Carlisle, PA. I am currently employed at Texas Roadhouse in Chambersburg, PA. I recently graduated in May of this year from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in disabilities studies. The TSS position will be an excellent position for me to gain experience in my field of study. Also, this position will allow me to put my skills for working with children with disabilities to great use.

Throughout my last semester at Shippensburg, I attended two volunteer sites to work with people with disabilities. The first site I attended was OSI in Chambersburg, PA. During the time at OSI, I learned how to work with adult clients to help them perform daily tasks they were assigned. I learned how to properly communicate with these clients and also help them concentrate and work to the best of their abilities. The second site I attended was Franklin Learning Center also located in Chambersburg, PA. During the time at Franklin Learning Center, I learned how to work with children with disabilities rather than adults. I observed different classrooms on a weekly basis and assisted the children with daily activities. I helped the children learn new concepts and keep them concentrated on their daily school work. Both of these experiences have ultimately given me a strong understanding of how to work with individuals with disabilities.

In sum, through my degree and volunteer experience, I have learned how to communicate and help people with daily tasks that they might find challenging. I have learned many skills and terms that are necessary to work in the helping field and ultimately work with children. My skills and knowledge make me an ideal candidate for this position.
