Skills

• Bilingual reading and writing (English/Spanish). Strong communication skills, able to learn new things quickly. Attention to detail. Professional while always keeping a smile on my face. Microsoft word and outlook. Billing knowledge ( E/M codes, CPT codes, ICD9 codes). Self- motivator. The clinic I worked at in WA very fast paced and busy, since the clinic is on an island we are considered an emergency room and I am therefore use to dealing with walk-in emergencies such as lacerations, cardiac issues, and so forth. All while having to check in and keep the patient flow going of three to four providers full schedule. Also helping patients on the phone with scheduling appointments, refill requests, billing or insurance questions, medical records questions, and referral questions. Filling medical records into patients charts and filing patients charts alphabetically are also daily duties. Reminder calls for next day appointments and mailing out patient paperwork is part of my daily job. Finding patients charts when our file clerk is not available or busy also helps with our daily patient flow.
