Boeing Aircraft- St. Louis, Mo. (1996-98) Contract Systems Engineer

Duties: Designed Avionics, Communications, Controls, Robotics, and Visual Systems for F-15, F-18, Harrier, JSF Flight Simulators and F-18 Cockpit Maintaince Trainer. Designed the EOTS Laser Guided Weapons System calibration equipment and modifications for Flight Simulation Facilities. Managed fabrication, scheduling, outsourcing, and manpower for my projects. Design done on Unigraphics parametric solid modeling and Mechanica FEA/FEM.

Lincoln Composites-Lincoln, NE. (1995-96) Contract Tool Engineer

Duties: Designed misc. tools to support manufacture of a composite guided missle system such as inspection fixtures, assembly tools, molds, and wounding mandrels utilizing 3d solid modeling CATIA.

Mark Andy-St.Louis MO. (1994-95) Contract Design Engineer

Duties: Layout and design of custom microprocessor controlled narrow web printing presses per customer's specifications utilizing CAD.

Southwest Mobile-St.Louis, MO. (1990-94) Mechanical System Engineer

Duties: Designed the 60k Tunner Aircraft Loader conceptual layout that won the preproduction prototype contract. Designed the 60k chassis suspension, steering, and drives which consisted of a hydraulic ten axle vertically articulating all wheel steering and drive suspension system. Implemented reliability, cost and weight reduction programs on 60k and increased reliability of the M1000 tank transporter program by redesigning of steering system, loading ramps, and misc. structures to increase reliability and maintainability while recognizing multi-million dollar cost reductions. Utilized PRO-E 3d solid modeling and Nastran/Patran FEA/FEM.

Mcdonnell Douglas- St. Louis, MO. (1988-90) Contract System Engineer

Duties: Concepted and designed aerodynamic aircraft models for various Wind Tunnel and R&D test. Designed instrumented dynamic aircraft models and components for force and flutter test. Designed F-18 Structural Loads test fixtures, robotics, data feedback devices, and facilities utilizing UG. Prepared finite element models, stress analysis reports, and FEA reports using Nastran/Patran. Provided N/C programming for machine shop.

Southwest Mobile- St. Louis, MO. (1988) Contract Systems Engineer

Duties: Designed the chassis assembly and hydraulic installation on 25k aircraft loader. Developed conceptual layouts and conducted air and transportability studies for 60k aircraft loader proposal utilizing cad.

Boeing Vertol- Ridley Park, PA. (1987-88) Contract Tool Engineer

Duties: Design and verification of development of V-22 Osprey assembly tools and fixtures drawings and planning documents. Also did some sheet metal flat pattern development.

Mcdonnell- St. Louis, MO. (1985-87) Contract Wind Tunnel Model Designer

Duties: Designed Force and Flutter wind tunnel models at various scales of F-15, F-18, Harrier, and C-17 aircraft. Prepared strength and stress reports, designed structural support hardware, instrumentation, electrical, robotics, and pneumatic data acquisition systems utilizing 3d cadam for design and n/c programming.

Beech Aircraft- Wichita, KS. (1984-85) Contract Tool Engineer

Duties: Designed, checked drawings, and analyzed tooling for the composite Starship aircraft program. Verified tooling concept vs tool function and method of manufacturing relative to engineering part tolerances utilizing cad.

Fairchild Aircraft- Farmingdale, NY. (1983-84) Contract Engineer

Duties: Incorporation of engineering change orders to update production drawings for the T-45A program. Prepared drawing changes notices to release drawings utilizing cad.

Rockwell Aircraft- Tulsa, OK. (1981-83) Contract Tool Engineer

Duties: Checked drawings, designed molds and tooling for B-B1 composite nacelles while developing bonding and assembly standards. Redesigned the major assembly fixtures for the various models of 747, 757, and 767 programs by implementing Color Coding to fool proof each models Assembly Fixture.

Boeing Aircraft- Wichita, KS. (1980 -81) Contract Master Layout

Duties: Used ink on mylar to develop full scale layouts and flat patterns of sheet metal parts for 727, 737, 747, and 767 aircraft programs.

Mcdonnell Aircraft- St. Louis, MO. (1977-80) Loftsman /Electrical Designer

Duties: Layout of templates and tooling from f15 /f18 master data. Electrical drafting of schematics, wiring diagrams, pc board layout while utilizing a pilot cad system.
