• Manage the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities of the tradesmen

• Coordinate the activities (project estimating, management, and inspection) of the contractual related items, to include PM’s, service calls, and repairs.

Confluence School District

Director of Facilities and Operations August 2009 – September 2014

The Director of Facilities and Operations is responsible for facilities and operations for five individual campuses consisting of 8 buildings for grades K-12 which comprise the Confluence Charter School District in the City of St. Louis. The following are some of my accomplishments and duties:

• Reduced costs by $250k after review of existing student transportation plan.

• Proposed a 5 year $4.6m deferred maintenance plan for the district which was approved by the Board.

• Reduced transportation and utility costs by 20% district wide.

• Completed a smooth transition from an educational management company to a fully self-managed district, the savings being in excess of $8 million annually in management fees alone.

• Experienced in working with architects and engineers as well as contractors of various trades (permits, roofers, plumbers, electricians and mechanical) on white box, renovations and new construction projects.

• Provided project estimation and management services as well as the day to day care of the buildings saving the district in excess of $40,000.

• Reduced contract cleaning and maintenance costs by 63%, a savings of $255,000 annually.

• Reduced district voice/data costs by over 70%, a savings in excess of $75,000 annually.

• Froze contract transportation rates for the 2012-2014 school years.

• Reduced gas utility costs in excess of $10,000 annually.

• Reduced copier costs by 30% and initiated a printer management program district wide.
