To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mike Coffey, a colleague of mine for four plus years at Kimmel & Associates in Asheville, North Carolina. Mike and I both worked directly for the president of Kimmel

& Associates, on many assignments, and I am well qualified to speak to Mike’s many virtues and talents. Among Mike’s best qualities, in short, are these: he is a faithful, reliable worker (he was always at work, and always on time, and always prepared to contribute his best effort). He is smart and resourceful. He is ambitious and fulfills the responsibilities given him while remaining eager and able to tackle more. Mike also possesses a versatile mind and was able to adapt well whenever the demands of his position expanded or shifted. My capacity as Communications Director (I wrote our national newsletter, company communiqués, press releases, and etc.) meant that Mike and I frequently had tasks that coincided or overlapped. Because Mike was the head of the Research Department at Kimmel & Associates, I relied on him to provide me with data and insights for articles and material I produced.

More to the point, since we were an executive search firm specializing in construction, Mike’s efforts produced tremendous amounts of market research, company names, and candidate information which our 100 consultants and recruiters were able to turn into leads, interviews, and deals. To be blunt: his work made the company lots of money.

Beyond Mike’s capacity for work, there’s this: he is a devoted friend with a generous heart and a sly sense of humor. For example, a number of years ago, before I knew Mike very well, my parents decided to move from Raleigh to Asheville. The day they parked their moving van in front of their new house, Mike Coffey, absolutely unexpected, showed up to help move furniture for people he’d never met. My parents still think the world of Mike for that act of charity. I’ve benefited, too, as Mike’s great capability with computers has saved me who knows how much money when he’s come to my house to fix some glitch for me. I think very highly of Mike Coffey: he’s steadfast and determined, and he will get done what needs to get done. But he’s also a good man and will add a willing, winning, humorous personality to any place where he works. I recommend him without reservation.

Please feel free to call me if you have any concerns or questions, at 828-***-****. Cliff Green
