Responsibilities:
Scheduled several JAD sessions to gather requirements from various different teams.
Met with all the stakeholders and decided to use the currently approved Lucent’s LambdaXtreme equipment for 100 G implementation.
Developed test cases based upon the requirements. Entered these requirements and test cases in HP ALM QC 12.00 for managing requirements, tests, defects and, business components.
After several months of testing, it was determined that LambdaXtreme equipment will not be able to meet our requirements. The vendor was informed.
Met with all the stakeholders again and decided to use the Ciena OME6500 equipment which was also approved equipment.
Repeated same test cases again. All of the test cases were successfully completed. The equipment was approved for the 100G field trial.
Scheduled weekly and daily meetings to discuss the 100G UAT Template status and design as well as co-ordinate UAT test related activities
Provided User Acceptance Training. Provided weekly reports to stakeholders and management team on a regular basis.
Project - 2: Ethernet and FiOS Support:

Enhanced OSS systems to grow the Ethernet 1GE port density cost effectively, and enabled growing 10GE ports in the future.
Integrated Cisco CRS ASR 9000v satellite device into the current FiOS backbone network NG LCR platform, providing multiple 1 GigE access ports and a few 10 GigE connections to the host CRS3.

Wrote SOWs based upon the requirements. Requested RFQs from the vendor companies. Based upon RFQ response eliminated several vendor options. Issued the RFI/RFP to the vendor community and evaluated vendor responses. Provided the evaluation criterion to the vendor community. Evaluated RFP responses from CISCO, Innovance, Ciena, CORVIS, NEC and Lucent for high bandwidth network equipment and supporting software systems.
Based upon the RFP responses and oral presentations developed alternative analysis matrices for invited vendors. Helped Verizon legal team in preparing pre-award documents and post-award maintenance with the client teams.
Worked with different engineering client teams to collect technical requirements. Wrote the technical requirements for the high bandwidth network systems and their RFPs.
Collected requirements from the Network Engineering team and wrote requirements for Virtual Concatenated Circuit Design for efficient network bandwidth utilization.

Project - 5: Layer 1 Conversion (L1C) Project Support:
Based upon technical meetings with clients in Boston and Cary, NC developed the Network High Level Architecture (HLA).
Scheduled the HLA review with the Development, Client, and UAT test teams.
Ensured that the implementation of the project is completed based upon the business case and the OSS strategy using the HLA and the requirement documentation.

Completed the OSS architecture document with Lucent, Telecordia, Tekelek and other vendors’ network equipment.

Reviewed, evaluated multiple vendor responses and invited the finalist companies to present their products. The new VistaIT Remedy based Trouble Management (TM) system was selected as the replacement for the ActiVew TM system.
