dynacorp international - Doha - September 2014 to June 2015 Responsibilities

Welding, cutting, fitting, fabrication, also magnetic particle testing of cracks in hulls of MRAP vehicles and performing crack repair procedures.designed and Fabricated tables, stands, dustpans, metal and parts racks, parts to set up welding area to support the air force MRAP program in doha qatar. Maintain equipment, order parts and supplies for cutting and welding.

• Assess vehicle to determine what damage needs to be removed

• Remove light to heavy structural damage due to extreme combat using carbon arc or oxy acetylene torch setup

• Scarf joints of vehicle using carbon arc and grind joint back to original plate specifications from factory

• Fit clean metal plates together where battle damage has been removed to factory specifications

• Complete specific weld sequence according to weld prints and drawings from factory. Variations include 5mm single pass welds up to 7 pass 19mm welds

• Comfortable completing in and out of position welds. Including 4G and spray transfer.

• Crack repair, hole repair, and split weld repair. Able to administer and read LPI and work to solve indication using metal removal tools and carbon arc gouging techniques.

• Fabricate tools as needed and able to work from drawings to complete all tasks.

• 11 plate certification each year to maintain ability to weld on strykers and stay deployed. Including 3G 4G, bend and break tested. Test for penetration as well as multi pass testing. STRUCTURAL STICK WELDING
