Ryan D'Amour – Resume Addendum

Highlights of Technical Accomplishments

1.I have been interested in computing for many years. This interest has allowed me to make a living doing computing related work for 8 years. I have never been afraid to try new things and can now claim experience in these activities: technician, web site development, software development, and system administration

2.I have been interested in the stock market for many years. My desire to be a successful day trader has led me to leverage my computer skills in the following ways:

a.I have developed and compiled proprietary software for a company called OrderFlowEdge. This software tracks information pertaining to the flow of orders coming into the markets, and will populate buy and sell signals accordingly. The software is built in a language known as ASCIL, which is exclusive to a platform called Sierra Charts. ASCIL is very similar to C++ in many regards.

b.I have developed and implemented automated high frequency robots that trade the Forex markets. These robots are built in Python, and implement MatPlotLib libraries accordingly. They have been in production on a CentOS server since June of 2014, and have netted a total of 500% the initial investment.

3.While being employed as a system technician, I independently researched and studied material for the RHCSA exam, preparing myself for system administration. After successfully passing the exam, my current employer has assigned more specific duties towards the system administration field.

4.I was soon given tasks related towards system administration within the same year I was hired by Ebocom. My first assignment was integrating and implementing SCCM into the entire infrastructure of the organization, which is now a crucial element of security implementations and application deployments.

5.The above mentioned SCCM implementation has led to a variety of assignments relating to the creation of customized reports based on gathered information. The reports generate a list of installed applications on each workstation, and compare it to a “whitelist” of applications that have been approved by the IT team. The IT team is then notified via SNMP if a workstation has an application installed that has not yet been approved. These reports were made using languages such as Python, Powershell, and Batch.

Areas of Interest

1.A deeper study of object oriented programming languages, such as Java, C++, and Python

2.To continue to develop applications to support my trading hobby and find new ways to improve the design of my current applications.

3.To be exposed to more noteable open-source technologies, such as Openstack or Chef.
