Developed a VB.net application to replace existing Access VBA and Excel applications used for doing site surveys and reporting. New application is compatible with touch screen, stores data in Access backend during survey, then exports to pipe delimited file for upload via ftp. Application renames and resizes photos and extracts EXIF data and stores in database. Converted Excel lookup tables to Access database and generate reports in Excel and pipe delimited text files from data extracted from Teradata database.

Converted application from classic ASP to VS2010 MVC 3 that is used to research hospital care in facilities in conflict areas. Added ability to insert and read PDF files into and from SQL 2008.

DTSI (USAF Randolph AFB) (4/05 to 9/12)

Position: Senior Application Developer:

Lead developer on maintenance and development of Virtual Military Personnel Flight (vMPF) web application that provides all Air Force members online access to view and update their personnel information. Application is written in VB6, C#, and ASP with SQL and Oracle databases. Migrated application from SQL7 to SQL2000. Developed application to track email traffic flow to detect email problems to prevent time sensitive emails from missing their suspense date. Migration of applications to VS.Net with Web Services. Provide 3rd tier problem resolution. Converted Aviation Continue Pay (ACP) from Classic ASP to Visual Basic.Net 2005. Migrated Air Force Assignment Management System (AMS) from Cold Fusion to C#.Net 2005 and SQL 2005. Converted SQL 2000 DTS packages to SQL 2005 SSIS packages. Lead developer on maintenance and development of Force Development Execution Support System (FDESS) Access application that pulls data using SAS datasets. Preformed code peer review for VB, C# and other .NET applications.

SAIC (USAF Randolph AFB) (2/01 to 4/05)

Position: Application Developer:

Lead Programmer for the Manpower Access Reporting System (MARS), which was developed in MS Access 97/2000 using VBA and Oracle server. This project was a total reengineering and replication of an existing system. Involved in all phases of development starting with requirements analysis, software design and development, to system testing and creation of project documentation.

Developed process for conversion of MARS Central data for use with the MARS Query and Report application. Did studies and test on processes to speed up download of Oracle data by querying Oracle servers directly with SQL and PL\SQL statements and using views and stored procedures to download subsets of data. Built and maintained Windows 2000 server, with Oracle 8i and SQL Server 2000 for testing purposes on all applications.

Converted the MARS Get Data and MARS Queries and Reports MS Access applications to stand-alone Visual Basic applications. Converted MARS Get Data VB6 application to VB.Net.

Performed requirements gathering from client for DR Tracking project. Created workflow process from client data to create software requirements. Did software evaluations to determine COTS program which best fit requirements. Developed ASP to do ad hoc queries from SQL Server 2000 stored data for DR Tracking project.

ASM Research (US Army Fort Sam) (3/00 to 2/01)

Create web based Ad Hoc queries to worldwide SQL database using ASP and InterDev, for Army ARTS, ADME and MODS programs. Maintain and update Army Dental Command worldwide client/server database (Access/SQL). Analyze system performance and redesign code as needed to decrease time for transmission of data from worldwide locations. Maintain continual communication with end users to help solve location specific problems and develop fixes to ensure software performance. Wrote SQL 7.0 stored procedures and views to decrease access time to server. Test existing application on Windows 2000. Convert Access 97 application to Access 2000 and correct all related problems. Test Access 2000 application on all Windows platforms for compatibility.

Built supply logistics database to track ordering, transition, and receipt of jet engine repair parts.
