Involved in first Datastage 8 deployment project in South Africa. ITWeb compiled a case study on the work completed at Tsogo Sun.
Successfully completed Teba bank project as Technical lead. Project completed on time and supplied client with not only an ODS, but also a Data Warehouse reading from the ODS (The ODS was fed from 20+ source systems).

Re-design the database based on rules of normalization and optimization of activities.
Interpret business rules and the design and code scripts to extract financial volumes (on average about 2 million rows per product volume), and produce outputs in Microsoft excel format.

Entails the collection of raw data on account level from the Data Warehouse (DB2). Importing it into the Volumes DB. Assign raw data to specific customers through various scripts.
Re-design of the month end Bill split process:
Entails the collection of data from the volumes DB and data captured from different analysts. Splitting the data percentage wise to the different business customers and sorting the values into Billable and Non Billable Volumes.
I streamlined the process from 2-4 days to 4 hours.
Creation of a C#. NET application enabling someone without SQL knowledge to run the splits.
Usage of SQL Server 2000, C#. NET, Analysis Server, Cognos and DB2 Connect in completing all tasks.

Every Quarter, the students are evaluated and the rating is entered into the System which produces a report for each Student.
Created on Access 2000 with VBA; modified to only run on Access 2000 runtime library to save costs.
Ratings for students are easily maintained and updated by importing ordinary text files with the required values and descriptions.
