Director of Supply Chain

Manage all functions of productive parts replenishment, delivery, and Finished Goods shipment. Responsibilities include

managing the SIOP process and implementing lean Supply Chain initiatives. Manage inventory and supplier delivery

performance with a spend of approximately $125M. Oversee finished goods shipment to 12 regional distribution centers in

addition to factory direct shipments to customers such as Sears, Lowe’s, and Home Depot.

Manage all Supply Chain activities for the 450 employee Jackson, MI aerospace facility and our sister site in Tijuana, Mexico.

Responsible for a total spend of approximately $75 - $100 million. Managed a staff of 35 salaried and 75 hourly employees

responsible for the entire scope of Supply Chain, Procurement, & Materials Management functions. Jackson is the largest plant

within the Eaton Aerospace Conveyance Systems Division and supports sales to Commercial, Military, and Aftermarket

Distribution Channels.

• Achieved Cost-Out (Material cost savings), of over $7M per annum.

• Increased customer on time delivery by 20% through the utilization of forecast demand analysis and enhancements to our

quoted lead time process.

Chrysler Corp. Detroit, MI 1/1998 – 12/2008

Supply Chain/Materials Manager – Detroit Axle Plant

Responsibilities included all material control, scheduling, procurement, and inbound parts management for our axle production

facility. Managed productive inventory of approximately $40 million. Also manage activities of paint, warehouse, and

sequencing facility for two major assembly plants.

• Lead plant MCM (Material Cost Management) initiative resulting in a cost reduction in excess of $3.5 million annually.

• Responsible for design and purchase of new Shipping rack fleet ($650K) resulting in a 40% density increase. This enabled us

to achieve significant manpower and freight savings.

Supply Chain/Materials Manager – Sterling Heights, (MI) Assembly Plant

Lead a staff of 40 salary and 185 hourly employees in the materials department producing 985 Chrysler/Dodge vehicles per day.

Responsible for all facets of material handling across two shifts. Control the movement of approximately $30 million in

productive inventory for the entire plant. Resolved material shortages, disposition of E&O, supplier delivery issues, materials

handling, transportation & Logistics, etc.

• Reduced line disruptions by over 60% by increasing efficiency of material handlers.

• Plant-wide launch of electronic Kanban (pull) system.

• Championed packaging density improvements leading to over $2.5 Million YTD savings.

Supply Chain/Materials Manager – Component Division

Oversaw total supply chain activities for the entire component division. Responsible for seven Union represented manufacturing

facilities in the U.S. and Canada that accounted for almost $4.0 billion in revenue. The division is responsible for over $150

million worth of both the corporation s productive and non-productive inventories. Control all aspects of managing the plants and

be an agent for change in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. Oversaw staff of over 150 salaried and 700

hourly employees in the area of supply, materials, logistics and purchasing.

• Increased inventory turns over 30% through float reductions and logistics optimization.

• Reduced productive inventory by 20% through various benchmark activities such as “pay-as-use” and inventory scanning on

the shop floor.

Supply Chain/Materials Manager – New Castle, (IN) Machining Plant

Acted as the department manager leading a staff of 26 salaried and 112 hourly employees for corporation s supplier of

suspension products. Responsible for over $25 million worth of productive and non-productive inventories. Represented plant

of approximately 1,500 employees at the staff level reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

• Reduced productive inventory by over 40% and increased inventory turns by 35%.

• Implemented pay-as-use program for non-productive tool stores, reducing inventory from $11 million to $2 million.

Planning/Scheduling Manager – Dayton (OH) Thermal Plant

Oversaw a staff of 12 salaried employees responsible for inventory control, purchasing, scheduling, and shipping.

Responsibilities also included setting up routes for inbound logistics. Coordinated all new product launch activities and managed

$15 million worth of productive inventory. Served as a Tier I supplier of HVAC s and evaporators to every Chrysler North

American assembly plant.

• Reduced inbound transportation costs by $1.5 million per year by optimizing routes and developing milk-runs .
